spinning

I've purchased a top whorl drop spindle and some merino fiber and I've made attempts at making some yarn. My first two attempts failed miserably, I was using too much fiber. BUT my third attempt SEEMS like it might become actual yarn, which would be thrilling. :D
It's currently drying.

I've finished one hedera!

I finished the first hedera. It's purtiful. I haven't started casting on for the second one yet. Instead I started the motorcycle chica gloves from the summer IK. I rather like them so far. They are a pretty green color.

I also made a hat that I'm quite proud of. I sort of made up the pattern sort of followed someone's and it came out quite well.

I'm almost done with the leg of my hedera. I've only restarted once! I'm pretty proud.

The lace pattern is interesting enough that I'm engaged, but not so intense that i'm going insane from it. This is only my second pair of socks. The first pair were more like slippers :)

I've also finally picked a pattern for the shawl that I'm going to make. I'm going to make the snowdrop shawl. It's pretty. I already bought the yarn for it from Knitpicks, it's shadow's in vineyard heather, so a pretty dark purple.

I'm terribly excited about knitting lace, it's so pretty-ful. :)
